Imagine thousands of people crowded in a giant room. Each one from a different background and profession, and having traveled great distances they have all come to participate in one thing. What are they all waiting for? What would possibly bring this many people into one place for almost an entire week? A safe bet would be the worlds largest creative conference, Adobe MAX.
This next week in Las Vegas, Nevada, I will be attending Adobe MAX for my very first time. This is the premiere event for anyone who studies or works in the creative industry. Over a span of 5 days, creatives from around the world come to learn about the latest software and technology coming soon to the business and consumer markets. Networking is huge at these events when you have industry professionals literally at your fingertips. If you personally or if you know of anyone who is interested in pursuing anything creative then it’s time to check out Adobe MAX.
As a student, it’s an incredible discount from the original price of almost $1600 to around $300 a ticket. I would highly recommend attending as a student especially if you are able to get it sponsored by your university.
This next week I will be taking copious notes and learning what it takes to be better prepared for the creative industry. I feel compelled to share with you the things that I will be learning as I embark on this excursion. Granted I will be attending a lot of classes and workshops that focus primarily on Graphic Design and the User Interface and Experience, but I know that there are always principles of creativity that are women between each medium of art and design.
